Export steps
Fill the invoice using how to create an invoice, skim the checklist, then click Download PDF in the toolbar. Open the file once before you email it.
Name files like INV-0042-ClientName.pdf. Keep numbering consistent so the filename matches the document.
Quick quality check
Confirm number, due date, total, and bank details are correct. Zoom the PDF — fuzzy screenshots look unprofessional next to a proper export.
If tax lines look wrong, fix Taxes in the editor and export again rather than editing the PDF by hand.
PDF vs official e-invoice formats
A readable PDF helps the client pay and keeps your records tidy. It does not replace mandatory e-invoice channels (SDI, KSeF, ZATCA, CFDI, and others) when the law requires them. Treat this export as the client copy or annex when you already issued the official document elsewhere.
Print and email habits
Print from the PDF viewer, not the browser page, so margins stay consistent. Attach the PDF once; put the invoice number and amount in the email subject so it is easy to find later.
Send with a short invoice email.
Disclaimer
PDF invoices for clients are not always the same as government e-invoice submissions. Use official portals when your country requires them.
